A actual assasin tanking build...solo hard mode
Ok well for this build u have to be a/d
15 critical strikes(11+1+3)
11 scythe
8 earth prayers
Skills:
eremites attack
mystic sweep
twin moon sweep
vital boon
mystic regeneration
fox's promise{elite}
critical eye
critical defenses
The only tricky part about this build is the vital boon/twin moon sweep part. u have to cast vital boon and then use mystic sweep, because critical defenses reapplies it self when u critical hit. This build works for random arenas, alliance battles, team arenas and guild battles. Don't try to go to heroes accent with this. For some reason people will think you are a major nub

Tanking blows in pvp>thats the reason.
All in all this build is a lot like random dervish builds, only you don't gain any energy from mysticism and you crit more often.
It's also pointless. In pvp assassins are useful for one reason: assassinating things. This build does that worse than almost every common sin build I can think of.
Less than 12 scythe is a big no-no. You get less damage per every hit.
Not sure how it does as an actual tank in HM, since foes in HM so frequently remove enchantments, meaning you'll frequently lose critical defenses, but hey, could work in a few places.

oh noes, it's a tank, let's all concentrate on him and leave the midline and backline untouched, so they can echo meteor shower and echo spiteful to nuke us.

It works for guild battles if you're playing other guilds with rating less than 980. Then again, playing those guilds feel like playing in RA or AB...

It is interesting how the title says "Hard Mode" while everyone is pounding on the PvP aspect >_> His intro post about certain PvP arenas didn't help much though...

I did test it, and it sucks for the very same reasons I posted in the first post: Re-applied enchantments are WAY too vulnerable to removal.

It's PvE: don't use it in areas with alot of enchantment removal?

Boneshreder:
I used this exact build on my hero Zenmai and she did fine until the very end of my testing area. She was the first to die but she is better than my old build for that hero. I don't like the fact that there are 9 unused attribute points left over and that an Assassin has to use a scythe. Other than that......I give it a B-
I think with a little work it could be a killer. btw, you probably didn't design this to be used as a hero build but I'm always on the lookout for good hero builds so for the moment anyway....Zenmai is using your build. Good Job.
-----------------------follow up-----------------
I tweaked your build just a bit. I gave Zenmai 12 (added +1) attribute points on the scythe at the expense of one for critical strike and only had 5 attribute points leftover. A little better efficiency. Instead of your first three Scythe Skills, I substituted Victorious Sweep, Chilling Victory and Mystic Sweep.
I took her through the same paces (the Hidden City of Ahdashim) and just killed all the Djinn and Ether Beasts. There are two bosses and its great place to farm LB points while assessing builds simultaneously.
I like this build better and am comfortable calling it my own even though it is essentially your idea madeover in a moderate way. From the hero perspective I found that Chilling Victory, although costing a bit more (10 vs 5), it also gave her a little more punch....and she needed that.
thanks again.

I just recently made a A/D for totem farming that works quite well but slow with Shadow Form, however I have found that even with my sin having only 10 scythe, 13 critical strikes makes up for it in spades, I hit harder more often than my derv with 15 scythe, this I attribute to a) the lower lvl of mobs in the falls, and b) scythe is a weapon begging for criticals .. when it has such a high end damage vs the low end damage, but I am also a little confused by the title mentioning HM .. where have you used this in HM and how successful was it?
